Grundig TK2400FM
#1
Hi,

I have a question. I have a beautifully restored TK 2400 FM portable / radio tape recorder.

I wanted to add an input jack to it so that I can also connect an MP3 player, a DAB radio, etc. (I would keep it as a loose wire in the battery compartment, it would not show.)

Looking at the schematic, attached, I am a bit confused...

What I marked as "1" goes to the tape recorder, "2" to the output amplifier (I could not add the whole schematic, was too large) but where does "3" go? Back to the mixer? It is like a feedback loop...I looked and looked and could not understand what it does.

I would very much appreciate if anyone can enlighten me on this matter!

Hello Totip

The cable with the mark 3 passes through a resistor 100 Kohm to capacitance diode on FM oscillator. It is AFC (automatic frequency control) which the selected station keeps stable in low batteries on FM.

Ah, that makes complete sense!

Many thanks,
